How It Works

Pentecost 2025 is an initiative from the North American Division to have 3,000 churches and schools in North America participate in local evangelistic outreach events. With funds from the NAD plus matching contributions from conferences and unions, local churches and schools can each receive at least $3,000 of funding to assist with the evangelistic events in their plan.

Requirements:

  • Churches must hold the event(s) in 2025

  • A minimum of 15 meetings/sessions in total (can be multiple events)

  • At least 5 of the 15 meetings/sessions must be presented up in front of an audience, like you’d imagine seeing at a typical evangelistic series

Schools can focus on students and their families, or open up to the broader public if they choose.

How The Process Works

1

Meet with your church or school board or evangelism planning team.

  • Choose dates (including the start and end of your events).

  • Plan your cycle—what will you do to prepare and follow up?

  • Create a budget. Make sure to include event resources, marketing, and any kids’ programs.

2

Get board approval for your plan.

3

Submit the plan to your conference evangelism/ministerial director.

4

Apply to join Pentecost 2025 here.

5

Start your evangelism cycle and get training.

Planning Your Evangelism Cycle

Reaching your community with the Gospel is different for each church and local territory. That’s where the evangelism cycle shines: it helps you to plan using key principles while giving you the flexibility to adapt when and how you do things—all to maximize success in your local setting. We’ve put together some resources and examples of how you might start building your own church’s evangelism cycle.
